THE BEAUTIFUL BALMORAL COACH PRAM
by Silver Cross
TRADITION, INNOVATION AND BEAUTIFUL DESIGN
We love style.
Every day we’re influenced by fashion, finding beauty and inspiration in new trends, colours, textures and fabrics.
So today, we’re super excited to be at London Fashion Week celebrating the best in creativity and craftsmanship from new and emerging designers.
Not only that, but we’re proud to be celebrating our very own British Style Icon – the beautiful Balmoral coach pram.
British style is individual, eclectic and trend-leading, but a true icon has a defining identity that stands the test of time.
The Balmoral has sartorial style in abundance, a masterpiece of design invented in Yorkshire by our founder William Wilson back in 1877.
Today, it’s a fine example of British engineering and craftsmanship at its best – a reminder of groundbreaking design that changed the face of the pram industry.
The coach pram design and C-spring suspension invented in Leeds all those years ago allowed babies to be transported comfortably and safely for the very first time.
More than 140 years on and this patented system is still synonymous with Silver Cross – and continues to deliver the best in comfort for babies.
Every Balmoral – along with its sister coach pram the Kensington and our traditional doll’s prams – is handcrafted in Yorkshire, England, using time-honoured techniques.
Each pram is a modern classic, blending tradition, innovation and beautiful design – a reminder of the Silver Cross journey and a true British style icon.
